Tiffany’s Beginning to now

Her journey into dog training began in 2013 in South Texas when she became a client herself with her Doberman, Zoey. What started as a desire to better understand her own dog quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Tiffany and Zoey became a certified therapy dog team through Go Team Therapy Dogs, and through that experience, Tiffany discovered how powerful the human-canine bond could be when built on trust, structure, and communication.

Her love for the Doberman breed grew even stronger as she and her husband became heavily involved in fostering and transporting Dobermans for rescue organizations. During this time, Tiffany’s passion for helping dogs and their owners deepened, inspiring her to pursue dog training professionally.

Her dedication and drive caught the attention of her own trainer, who offered her a position within the company. Tiffany eagerly accepted and began training part-time while continuing her education to become a certified professional dog trainer. She earned her certification while working with her second Doberman, adopted from Von Koepsel Dobermans and Mariah Dobermans in Texas.

When her husband accepted a job opportunity in Utah, Tiffany relocated and transferred to a franchise location in Sandy, Utah, where she quickly excelled and transitioned into full-time training. Her commitment to helping clients and dogs succeed only grew stronger, but the long commute eventually led her to pursue a bigger dream—Managing a training program for someone else.

She moved to a boarding and daycare location near bountiful, UT, around mid february 2019. There she began the Journey of beginning a training program to Enhance the Boarding and Daycare business. She Flourished to begin with at this location and hired three people to begin as trainers under her Guidance. She then hit a set back in november 2019 of losing her dad in a fire that took him, her childhood home, two dogs, and three cats. the next set back was COVID in early 2020 so she had to dream even bigger – building something of her own.

In April 2020, Tiffany founded K9 Fluent Professional Dog Training, LLC, offering in-home training and public setting sessions while navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. She built the business from the ground up—creating the website, developing customized training programs, designing marketing materials, securing licenses and insurance, and establishing the structure that would become the foundation of her company.

Her results spoke for themselves. Within six weeks, demand grew so rapidly that she hired three trainers, followed by an office manager just four months later. As the business expanded, Tiffany added a transport van for dogs and, in April 2021, transitioned into a full training facility to better serve her growing client base.

Allie was more than just my Doberman—she was my heart dog, my partner, and one of the biggest reasons K9 Fluent Professional Dog Training became what it is today. She helped shape not only my career in dog training, but also my understanding of the Doberman breed, the importance of well-bred dogs, and the incredible world of dog sports. Through Allie, I learned the value of structure, purpose, and preservation breeding, and she introduced me to the deeper side of canine work beyond training alone. Losing her unexpectedly in April 2023, just before her 9th birthday, was one of the hardest moments of my life. I honestly questioned whether I could continue moving forward with K9 Fluent without her by my side. After her passing, I contacted her breeder to share the heartbreaking news. As fate would have it, she had a litter on the ground and told me she had turned away five other potential owners for one particular female. She simply said, “I guess I was waiting for you. Do you want her?” Without hesitation, I said yes. At just 9.5 weeks old, I flew to Texas and brought Tess home to Utah. Tess became the piece of my heart that helped me keep going. She gave me purpose again, and with her, I stepped fully into the world of AKC Conformation Shows, continuing the passion and legacy that Allie helped create.

Today, Tiffany leads a thriving team while continuing to stay hands-on with training, mentorship, business operations, SEO, social media, and client support. She has created a company culture built on professionalism, honesty, work-life balance, and safety—offering benefits such as PTO, sick leave, and health support for her staff.

K9 Fluent also works closely with shelters, volunteers with Golden Spike Dog Obedience Club, and provides internship opportunities for aspiring trainers. Tiffany remains committed to lifelong learning, constantly investing in continuing education, AKC Conformation, dog sports, rescue work, and improving the lives of dogs and their families.

For Tiffany, dog training has never just been a career—it is a purpose. Her mission is simple: create better communication between dogs and owners, build lasting relationships, and help every dog reach their full potential.
