Honoring the Heroes Who Gave Everything This Memorial Day in Northern Utah

Memorial Day Blog Post

Even a short training session at a park or outdoor patio can help build confidence and reliability for your dog.

  • Small amounts of crowds time
  • Keep interactions respectful and controlled
  • Watch for signs of stress or overheating

As temperatures rise, many families head toward lakes, reservoirs, and splash areas.

A few important reminders:

  • slow introduction to water
  • Use properly fitted life jackets for inexperienced swimmers
  • Rinse your dog after lake swimming
  • Watch for overheating during outdoor activities
  • Provide shaded rest breaks

While Memorial Day weekend often includes barbecues, travel, and outdoor fun, its true meaning should never be forgotten.

We honor the heroes who gave everything for this country. Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day โ€” including the simple moments spent outdoors with our families and dogs.

From all of us at K9 Fluent Professional Dog Training, thank you to the fallen service members and military families who have sacrificed for our nation. Your courage and legacy will never be forgotten.

We hope you and your dogs have a safe, meaningful, and memorable Memorial Day weekend here in Northern Utah.
